I forgot to take an after picture when the curlers came out but trust me she was cute! Here are 9 things that I love about Emma in no particular order...
1. She has a pure testimony of the gospel. She loves her scriptures and going to church and she is never embarrassed to say what she believes.
2. She is a fabulous big sister. She plays well with both Abby and Kyle and she is always willing to hold Zac when I need a free hand.
3. She loves to clean and organize things. She is in a room with Zac which she always keeps clean. I even find her cleaning my room sometimes.
4. She is a good friend. On the first day of school I was walking her to class and I was amazed at the number of kids who said hi to her and she was equally friendly to all of them.
5. She loves to read. She recently finished all the Harry Potter books and she also likes Nancy Drew. She will read just about anything she can get her hands on.
6. She loves the water. She is always trying to get me to go in with her. When we were in Idaho on vacation and I jumped in the lake she said to me afterwards "Mom you did it!!! I really did not think that you would!"
7. She has a sweet tooth. Emma loves her sweets but she also tries to eat healthy even when that means eating something that she does not like.
8. Emma is addicted to Phineas and Ferb. We don't have cable but she has seen every episode on Netflix multiple times and can sing most of the songs.
9. Emma always tries her best. She is very dedicated and consistent with anything she sets her mind to. I am so glad that she is my oldest. She is an amazing example to everyone she meets.

She is so special! Happy Birthday Emma!
Happy Birthday Emma! What a sweet girl. I can't believe how fast she is getting older and more mature and even more beautiful!
Emma is such a cute girl! I love how she is so positive and happy all the time. Too bad she's not here to rub some of her energy off on Maggie. We were talking about Emma in the car today because earlier today we were watching a movie clip that she's in. When Maggie said to OWen, "dad, you know Emma?" Owen started singing Laurie Berkners "this is the happiest song I know." I guess that's the song that reminds him of Emma--I'm thinking because one day she was in our car and it was playing and she was singing it very loud and said it was her favorite song. I think it left a lifetime impression on Owen. haha!
oh gosh, I am so behind in blogland. Happy birthday Emma! But I'm struggling with this post b/c I can't believe she is 9! It really doesn't feel that long ago when we first me her and she was a little preschooler. She sure is a wonderful girl!
I love how dramatic her face is when opening presents. Brannon gets that way too and it makes such fun pictures! Her party looks like it was awesome! And those ice cream sandwichs look so yummy...did you make them with the choc. cake mix cookies? I've thought about doing that before...
