Look What I Can Do!
Happy Easter
We had a great Easter! Trevor did not have any Sunday morning meetings and it was so nice to have him home. Abby wanted waffles for breakfast with strawberries. I am starting to figure out that it is the strawberries and whipped cream that she wants and not the waffles so next year I think I might just save myself the trouble and give her a bowl of strawberries and cream. The girls had fun searching for their glow in the dark eggs and gorging themselves on sugar. I did not get any pictures of the actual day but I did remember to take pictures when we dyed eggs.
Emma was all business when it came to her eggs.
Trevor is making Kyle a football egg in this picture. I did not get a shot of the finished product but I was very impressed.
Preschool Update
Blogger and me are having a battle and blogger is winning. It keeps uploading my pictures in random order so just try to stay with me... Abby LOVES preschool! On the days that she does not get to go she is really sad. She will be ready for everyday preschool in the fall.
This is Abby's class after their egg hunt. The reason Abby is so far back in the picture is she is trying to swing on the tree swing.
On April fools day the class was told to wear something silly. I did not know what to dress Abby in but she had her own idea...she wore Emma's old Halloween costume. She looked pretty silly so I guess it was perfect.
A couple of weeks ago Abby got to teach her class something she is good at. She really wanted to show them how to make chocolate chip banana bread but I just was not brave enough to deal with the mess in someone space...I could just see chocolate splattered all over the carpet and wall. Abby really loves to cut so I found a cute project here and she taught the class how to make Easter lilies. She did a great job.
She also got to take Skippy the class pet home to spend the night. She had a lot of fun taking care of him. She was great at sharing him with Emma and her favorite thing to do with him was read and snuggle.

7 Months!
I really can't believe Kyle is 7 months old. He is doing great! He is learning new things everyday. He has found his feet and could chew on them (especially the left one) for hours. He gets closer to rolling over every day. He can get all the way onto his side but that pesky arm gets in the way and he can't get all the way over. It probably has something to do with the fact that he still is not a fan of his tummy although he is spending much more time there without complaining.
He is really starting to put on some weight. He weighs somewhere around 16 pounds now. He is a great eater. He has mastered rice cereal and oatmeal and also likes carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, pears, and bananas. We are going to try applesauce next week!
The best news is that he is going all day including naps without his oxygen. He only needs the extra help at night. It has been two weeks now and he gets better at it every day. I very rarely have to turn his oxygen on when he is napping. He continues to be a VERY happy easy going guy despite some uncomfortable ear infections and his first real cold. We are slowly starting to spend some time out of house and I don't know who likes it more, me or Kyle. We LOVE our Kyle.
It's Always Fun When Grandma Comes!
The day Grandpa left we got our next visitor...Grandma! The girls were so excited.
Abby like to play dress up with Grandma things.
A Visit From Grandpa
We have had some fun visitors in the last couple of weeks. Because of business and strange airline schedules Grandpa and Grandma had to travel separately. We had lots of fun with Grandpa first! Grandpa took us to the zoo and gave us the gift that keeps on giving of a zoo pass! (Thanks again Grandpa)
The girls were SO excited to go up in the zoo balloon. I don't think that Grandpa liked it very much but you have to do it at least once!
This is a picture that Trevor took from the top of the balloon. That is me trying to keep Kyle asleep in his car seat. He ended up sleeping the WHOLE time. He is such a great baby. (Notice that I am wearing flip flops in this picture!)
It has been so long since we have been to the zoo and the girls wanted to look at EVERYTHING. You would think that they had never seen an animal before. They were so excited!
We spent a lot of time hanging out and watching some March Madness. The girls got in some good snuggle time with Grandpa.
Kyle thought Grandpa was pretty great!
We had brownies one night and I let the girls lick the bowl. Pure JOY!
While Grandpa was here we were able to bless Kyle. I know I cut the top of his head off but he was just too cute in his white shirt. I had a hard time figuring out what to dress him in to bless him. I feel like we made such a big deal out of what the girls wore and I did not want to short change Kyle. The thing is that he would have been much happier in his jammies but we went with the white shirt anyway.
