A special story time visitor

Abby has been really into story time at one of the local libraries. She asks me almost every day if we can go to "the library with the actibities." Well today we had a fun visitor at story time. We were in the middle of reading the book "Madeline" when the real thing walked in (she was huge!) I think that Abby was a little afraid of her for a little bit but she warmed up and I finally convinced her to sit on Madeline's lap for a picture. It was a fun day.

One her way to becoming a Jackolantern!

Last week Emma lost her first tooth (not counting the two she had pulled over a year ago). It was loose for a LONG time. I think that it was driving her dental student dad crazy. He really wanted to pull it out for her. Emma would not have any of that and she just kept wiggling it on her own. She came home last Tuesday with her tooth in a cute little tooth treasure chest from the school nurse. When I asked her what happened she said "Well it got kind of twisted in my mouth so I got a tissue and pulled it out." It was so matter of fact that I had to have her repeat the story. She has two other loose teeth so in a few weeks she could have a nice big hole in the front of her smile.
