Easter
I know that this is a little late but it is better than not at all and I have had some request for pictures. We had a great Easter morning since Trevor did not have any meetings until right before church. We had a nice relaxing morning, but I think that I relaxed too much because we were almost late for church so these pictures were taken after church. Considering how tired the girls were I think that they did a great job.
They really do like each other. It has been fun in the last year or so to really watch their relationship change. They can actually play together and they both have amazing imaginations, and most of the time they are pretending to be some kind of animal.
Emma really loved her dress. Unfortunately one of the ties fell off during sacrament meeting and I had to return it. I could have fixed it but I figured if the tie fell out that easily the rest of the dress might not hold together very well especially since we are talking about Emma wearing it...she is not very easy on her clothes. I did find a very cute replacement.
For some reason Abby insisted on folding her arms. She loved her dress too and it was tough convincing her to take it off when we got home. THANK YOU so much Grandma and Grandpa Manderino for funding the girls new dresses. They love them.
We finished the day with dinner and some friends. I was amazed that we could fit all the adults around our table. We had good food and great company. Thanks guys and happy Easter!

Good thing I only have to do this once a year!
I know that these pictures are cute but they happened before the insanity started. I don't mean to sound like the scrooge of Easter but I DO NOT like dying Easter eggs. I always end up with dye on my hands and some stain on someones clothes to try and wash out. I am sad (but not surprised) to report that this year was no different...
Here is Abby looking so cute. She loved stirring the eggs in the dye and watching the egg get darker. I am pretty sure that she wanted to dye her hands green but we kept a close eye on her and she stayed perfectly clean.
Emma really enjoyed dying her eggs. This is a picture of happier times with her calmly stirring her egg in the purple dye. About 10 minutes later she got bored with just gently stirring the egg, and while she had her egg in the green dye we suddenly had green liquid everywhere and I am not exaggerating. No body knows how it happened but suddenly there was no more dye left in the bowl and lots of dye on the table, on her clothes, on Trevor's clothes and yes on my tan carpet!!!
I wish that I had thought to take a picture of the green carpet but I was too busy trying to hold it together and not yell at my children. This is only a small section of the stained carpet. I still can't not believe how dye seems to spread. I do have to say that Resolve is my new best friend and after about an eternity of scrubbing you can hardly tell that there was ever any green in the carpet.
This is kind of gross, but the dye soaked through Trevor's socks onto his toes. Trevor was great helping me clean things up and everything came out of everybody's clothes, and off my hands. I was begining to forget all about the dye fiasco when we were eating dinner which happened to be egg salad sandwiches (I know...sandwiches for dinner...I was feeling lazy and they sounded good). Emma asked me what eggs I had used to make her sandwich. I told her that I used the eggs that we had dyed earlier. She was really upset and could not believe that I had used her eggs! What did she want to do with them??? Then Trevor got involved and asked if I had used his USC egg which I guess that I had and he got a little disappointed because he did not get to take a picture of it (I guess it was pretty cool but I did not notice). To say the least by the time dinner was over I was ready to never dye eggs again. It is a good thing that I don't have to do it again for another year. Maybe next year the weather will be nicer and we can do it outside where spills don't matter so much...here's to hoping. Happy Easter!

Tropical Paradise
For spring break we really wanted to get to somewhere sunny and warm. Our budget ruled out the much desired trip to Hawaii so we settled for the next best thing...Lancaster PA. I know what you are thinking but what we found will surprise you.
Our friends told us about this great (indoor) water park in Lancaster. We looked into it and found a great deal. So with two other families we set off for the Caribbean Cove in Lancaster. Here are the girls enjoying the water.
Trevor's favorite part were the basketball hoops in the middle of one of the pools. This is Emma's first slam dunk. I am sure we can expect many more in the future.
Abby was SO good at this. I could not believe her upper body strength. She needed us to steady the alligator just a little and she did the rest. I am sure she could have done this all day.
Here are the kids looking cute, silly and happy. They all had such a good time. It was hard to make them leave.
Emma wanted me to take this picture of he sitting under the waterfall in the hot tub.
This is Emma coming out of the water slide. Trevor went down it first and he did not think that Emma would like it. We should have known better! Our little dare devil loved it. I wish I would have taken a picture of the slide itself. It was a pretty big one with quite a few twists in it.
Abby was really sad that she was not tall enough to go down the big water slide so she had to settle for the smaller one in the kid pool. She still had a good time even though she kept telling me that she was too big for the baby slide.
Here are all the kids enjoying dinner. Pizza, chips, and soda were the only things that could get these kids out of the water. As soon as they were done eating they were right back to being little fish.
I think that she had more cheese on her face and hands than in her mouth!
Wiped out!!! As soon as her bath was over Abby was asleep. Both girls played hard and we all had a great time. So the next time any of you are craving a tropical adventure don't forget about Lancaster PA.

Student of the Month!
Here you go Heather!
I was tagged by Heather who I thought was not a fan of this game but I think that deep down she really likes it. I think that she made up some of these questions but I will try my best to answer them all.
What are 5 things I have to do today?
1. play with my kids
2. take a nap
3. hang out with my husband
4. make dinner
5. update my blog
Where was I 10 years ago?
Trying to survive my sophomore year at BYU. It was a tough year of pre-nursing classes, a busy work schedule and not much time to play. The good thing about it was that the girls I lived with that year will be my best friends forever!
What are 5 snacks I like?
1. frozen peanut M&M's (try it Bud!!! you won't regret it)
2. apples and peanut butter
3. cookies (just about any kind)
4. cheese
5. almonds
What would I do if I was suddenly a billionaire?
To state the obvious I would pay off all our school debt, get off of food stamps and Medicaid and take a trip to Hawaii. I would also like to buy that HGTV house in Florida.
What are 4 bad habits I have?
1. biting/licking my lips
2. eating when I am not hungry
3. locking my knees
4. driving too fast
What are 5 jobs that I've had?
1. Pizza maker at Pizza Hut
2. Smelly clothes washer in the RB at BYU
3. Intramural supervisor
4. NICU nurse
5. MOM
DO I know anyone famous?
Not that I can think of but I did pass up on opportunity to meet George Clooney. It was before his ER days and I went with my aunt to work (she use to do clothes for TV shows) and she asked me if I wanted to meet him and I had no idea who he was so I said no.
Have you started any trends in that last year?
Are you kidding me?
If I were a pizza topping what would and be and why?
Cheese, you can't have a pizza without cheese.
What is your favorite clothing trend?
What is with the trend questions? I just wear anything comfy I adore flip flops probably because I can always find some that fit which is a big deal for me in the shoe department.
What is your favorite commercial?
I don't even know what they are advertising but I love the one where that lady says "Door open!" and she walks smack into a glass door spilling her coffee everywhere. I laugh every time.
Which Seasame Street character is your favorite?
Cookie Monster...anyone who can get away with eating cookies all day is awesome. My girls also say I do a pretty good cookie monster voice.
Which Christmas Vacation character do you see yourself as?
Seeing as I have never seen this movie the whole way through I have no idea. I can not quote a single line from that movie which when you consider the family I married into it is pretty amazing.
I will tag Karina and both set of parents. (Both dads please play!)
