Easter Fun

We had a really nice Easter weekend. We were lucky that Trevors vacation included the weekend. On Saturday we went to a friends house for a yummy BBQ and egg hunt. While the Daddy's were hiding the eggs outside all the kids had a special lesson on Easter symbols and why we celebrate Easter. They were all really well behaved considering that they all knew that as soon as the lesson was over the hunting would begin.

Kyle was a pro at shaking the egg and deciding if the candy was worth keeping or not.

Emma racing to find another egg. All three kids came home with full baskets.

After the hunt we went home and colored some eggs. Kyle has never eaten an egg. I have tried to give them to him in every form imaginable but I never thought about leaving the shell on. We did stop him before he managed to bite through.

Trying so hard to get the right color that she won't even look up at the camera.

This is Abbys perfect kind of activity as you can tell by the smile.

We managed to only spill one cup of dye this year so I am considering it a complete success.

Unfortunately this is the only picture I took on Easter. He looks like he is in a sugar coma. We had a great day with even better company. I really like Easter. When the choir sang I Know that My Redeemer Lives I received a powerful witness of how blessed I am to truly know that He really does live. I am thankful for my Savior and the power of the Atonement in my life.

I'm dying of the picture of you with the Rogers at the beach - you look so pregnant! That's a compliment, by the way. I'm so happy that you've made it so far and that everything is going so well. I was so happy to see that big belly of yours!!! And I have to ask, is that Oasis you went to in Palm Springs? My mom and my sisters and I used to go on girls trips to Palm Springs when we were young and we'd go to Oasis. I LOVED that steep slide - if it's the same one, tell Emma it used to be my favorite. And the picture of Abby as a zebra cracked me up because I remember that incident so clearly. How did she grow up so fast?

Oh man! I love all the new posts-- I was beginning to wonder if you'd had the baby already!:) Your vacation sounds wonderful and like it was just what you all needed. How fun that you got to see the Rogers while they were nearby. The picture of Abby as the zebra is SO hilarious-- and that Kyle copied a few years later is even better.
